In my experience, the R7000P was rock solid until netgear armor was added.
If you haven't, the first thing I'd try is a factory reset and a clean install. Do NOT install a backup configuration. I think armor changed things enough that old settings cause issues.
If you have tried that, then I'd try the 1.3.0.20 version. Its the version prior to armor being added.

I'm not sure what a factory reset will do though as this is out of the box and I didn't turn on the Armor piece at startup. If I reset, it'll be in the same sate, right?

Not necessarily. The Armor "upgraded' added armor and removed other services. Even some of the stock settings can cause issues because of the big changes.
Its why its one of the first steps we recommend after upgrading to a new firmware and having issues.

Will do. So factory reset first, and if that doesn't work, install the old firmware on top of the ne wone, then factory reset again. Correct?
