Nighthawk R7350 only getting 300mbps on Spectrum Ultra 500 Service
Within the last month I recently subscribed to Spectrum Ultra 500 service. The technician came up and told me I was definitely getting almost 600 or more from the modem. I tried my Wavlink router fi...

First of all for your final last words, firmware version.V1.2.0.92_1.0.1
And second I've tested it with both the Netgear app and also just using the speed test app on its own and I'm getting the same results from both. So it's got to be something in the router that's not letting get the results that I subscribe to. I have a friend who has Netgear router and Spectrum modem and only the 300 service and he's getting 350. I know you can't compare apples and oranges but I should be getting more than 300 on my service.

Actually that will probably all you see with between your devices and this model router. 5Ghz AC and most 2x2 devices top out at around 200-500Mbps with 40-80Mhz channel width. You'll not see over this. Nature of 5Ghz AC.

Wired ethernet connections would see near 900Mpbs.
- DogRoxDec 15, 2023AspirantWell that's with my 5G that I'm testing all my tablets on. With 2.4 only get like 20 to 30 at most download speed. But I do have a wired Xbox and a wired PS4 and they're only getting about 200 download speed and only like about 5 or 10 upload speed if that. People are saying that it's just the servers that I'm testing with them so how am I supposed to test it if that's the only wired connections that I have? And what would be a better router than so I can get the full 500 that I'm paying for?

Ya speed testing with game consoles and there services is not reliable. I never test with my xbox consoles. Only reliable way to speed test is with a ethernet connected PC or laptop. Ya 2.4Ghz will be even slower. 20 or 40Mhz channel width there. Usually won't see much over 200Mpbs depending. Nature of that beast.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
If you log into the routers web page, under advanced tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless settings, do you see any MIMO, Beamforming or 160HT options here by chance?

Here's a picture of the model number of the modem from spectrum. So if these AC routers aren't the best then what other recommendations I should get for router to get the maximum speed?
