NightHawk R7500 firmware issue

Just this past month my internet has bogged down.  We hooked up a couple new devices to it after the holidays.  It's currently at twenty one devices.

 

I thought it might have to do with the router and when I checked the Firmware, I'm currently on version V1.0.0.124 and the latest for this model is 1.0.0.130.

 

NetGear Genie doesnt let me update it from there, just states it's on the current version.  In the past I had no problem updating from the genie application (firmware that is).

 

I went through routerlogin . net and through the advance setting to update it there.  I download the file and unzipped it. When I go to upload the file for the firmware, it just gives me the please wait a moment and seems to be locked into that process.

 

I've contacted our ISP and everything checks out with the modem.

 

I'm on MAC OS X.  The computer I'm trying to update from is hooked up wirelessly.  Would this cause a issue?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    do you have the R7500?

    Or C7500? 

    You have on in the title and the other in the signature. 

     

    Have you tried a different PC?

    Or a different browser?

      It's the Nighthawk X4 AC2350 Smart Wifi R7500

       

      I haven't used another computer as of yet but I will try it.

      OK so the router is updated.  I rebooted it and now it's readying 1.0.0.130.

       

      It's still pretty slow though with the new firmware update.

        What speeds are you getting? 

        Wired:

        Wireless 2.4gh:

        5ghz:

         

        What modem do you have?
        What speeds do you pay for? 

        What speeds do you get directly connected to the modem?

        What device/devices are you testing on? 

  • I have problem with V1.0.0.130 (Nighthawk X4, AC2350 Smart WiFi-router, R7500):

     

    1) Pages for Basic/Home and Basic/Attached Devices are not popping up. They seem to have been moved to other webb addresses?!

     

    2) In the Genie app, above pages are available. But my attached (and running) devices are not displayed in THE networking app.

     

    I have re-installed firmware with no other results.

     

    Pls help!

      Hello.

       

      I actually won't be much help here since I don't remember the steps I did to fix this issue.  Also, I've since upgraded to the Netgear Nighthawk AX12.  The issues I was having with the R7500 and it not being up to speed for our needs made me upgrade.
