Nighthawk R800 - Firmware Control

Suspected there was no auto-update but would claim there wasn't. The latest F/W, V1.0.4.12 did come out a long time ago, so I'd think if there was auto-update involved it would have happened maybe sometime last month if staged out over a few weeks.'
More than likely it was a modem or ISP line going down?

Amazing AbhayB NaderA - a router with Auto Update enabled by default, and no user control to disable? Design, development, and implementation seems to run out of any control.

There's clearly misunderstanding that R8000 even has auto-update firmware. Secondly, all Nighthawks that have auto-firmware update feature has ability to opt-out through advanced setting. So I am not sure where this issue is coming from.
