What firmware is on the router?
Have you done a factory reset and clean install (not from backup)?
Make sure to leave qos, access control, traffic monitoring, and parental controls all disabled during setup

Here you go :-)
What firmware is on the router? Firmware Version V1.0.4.68_10.1.75
Have you done a factory reset and clean install (not from backup)? Yep yesterday, full factory reset and install, which did help increase the speed up to about 500 meg, but I have a 900 mb connection (I had 450 previously) BT say the line is fine.
Make sure to leave qos, access control, traffic monitoring, and parental controls all disabled during setup
Enable Dynamic QOS is off, traffic monitoring is off and no parental controls
Thank you

test with a hardwired in pc/laptop
try different sites as well. when you get >500mbps, some test sites have issues saturating the line.
- DSingJan 12, 2021GuideCheers my speed has dropped to about 150 meg again tonight all very weird! Nothings changed from my side still set up same
- DSingJan 12, 2021GuideSo my nighthawk x6 ac2200 which is wired into my router is giving 550 meg (still not near 900) and the R7000
Is currently testing at 150 meg 😳 - plemansJan 13, 2021Guru - Experienced User
did you try testing with a laptop/desktop thats hardwired in?
What website did you use?
- DSingJan 14, 2021GuideSo I’ve tested with a few speed testers and my Wi-fi download speed sucks via Wi-fi tonight 150mb on. A 900 connection. Fast.com Speedtest.net etc. my wired is about 700mb straight from the modem.

I get that your speeds directly off the modem is going to be full speed. So test the router directly off the modem hardwired and not over wireless. wireless is going to have variable speeds and isn't going to hit those speeds regardless.
