Nighthawk R8000P router. Netgear USB Control Center doesn't find Printer

I have a new NightHawk R8000P router and want to connect my HP Officejet J4550 All-in-one USB printer to the USB 2.0 port of the router so it can be used via the ReadySHARE Printer process.
I finally was able to find and install the Netgear USB Control Center s/w on My Win10 laptop but it doesn't see the printer. I temporarily disabled my Norton security s/w but still no printer.

Any clues to help the s/w see the printer?
