NightHawk R8500 - Odd DNS Error post-firmware upgrade
About ten days ago, I upgraded the firmware to the latest version. Rebooted the router. Since then, the PCs on my network are experiencing delays loading most web pages. aaaa The browers displays...
- I rolled back to the previous firmware. 1.0.2.144.
Resolved my dns loading errors.

Doesn't appear to be much of a solution - rolling back a security upgrade?
How do we get NetGear to chime in on this?

- Well it’s a temporary solution until a better/fixed firmware update is released.
And getting netgear to chime in on fixing an old ass router probably ain’t going to happen lol
But one can hope. Open a support ticket with NG support and let them know what your seeing.

I presume NG does already know about this as it seems to be effecting several router models.

I see the R8500 has a new firmware release R8500-V1.0.2.156_1.0.105 dated 11/5/2021.
Anyone try it yet to see if the ultra annoying DNS bug has been fixed?
Oh, just found another thread with the answer. Sadly, no, the new firmware does not appear to fix the DNS bug.
