Nighthawk R8500 Amber Flashing Power Light after Firmware Update
I updated the R8500's firmware utilizing the Router’s internet interface from version 1.0.2.136 to 1.0.2.144. After the update, the Router has a blinking amber light. Steps attempted to resolve ...

That'd be the Power indicator? If so, then TFTP would be next step.

That was the clue.
Just an FYI
happenned here too with the 1.0.2.144 firmware
Ironically flashed one for someone remotely without issue, ours crashed and burned
The tftp recovery worked out fine though, just a bit of downtime
