Nighthawk Router AC1750 keeps dropping out.
Greetings, I have had this router for one and a half years. Recently it started to drop out several times a day. I am not aware of any changes withihn my network. Any suggestions?

Hi, Thanks for trying to help me out. The Router is a RC6700v3 with the moist recent firmware. It is connected to a Spectrum Modem.
I notice that I have lost the WIFI signal to the TV or other device. I run into the office where the router is located. Depending on how quick I am I find the router power light orange or white. With all other lights out. Typically it will restore itself in a few minutes. When it comes back up I get the 2.4 and 5 GHz lights pretty quick but it takes a bit longer to get the internet light back up. This is most likely to occur late afternoon and into the evening. The symptoms are typical of performance after a power outage or reboot. I replaced the power supply yesterday but it just happened again. This time it took longer to get the white power light back on and a good five minutes to get the internet light back up. The internet provider tells me that the incoming cable is fine.
Thanks,
Mark Murray

I assume that you mean R6700v3
Does that Spectrum Modem have a make and model? It could be the all important missing detail. That's why we always ask about it.

Orange or white? I see no "orange" option.
If the Internet LED is off, that explains why the wifi went down. Your Internet connection died. But the wifi LED should stay on.
Could be a hardware failure.
What do the router's logs show?

The orange light is what first comes on when you power up the WiFi router. White would mean that the unit is functional.
I don't see anything in the router log that indicates a failure or looks unusual. I have had this setup for a year and a half and it worked fine until recently.
The Spectrum Modem is a Hiltron Tech E31N2V1 DOSSIS 3.1 eMTA.

What actual firmware version are you on?
the "most recent" hasn't always been the best with the R6700v3

The firmware is v1.0.4.106

In other words, when you rush into the room, if you see an orange light the router is rebooting itself. That indicates that something odd is happening. If not, it would be white when you got there.
