Nighthawk Router not connecting to HP printer
Got my new Netgear router set up couple weeks ago but one problem. I have a HP 4500 series printer and I cannot get it set up with Netgear router. I've researched online and apparently connecting a ...

"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

Thanks for the helpful links. "online" is a very big place.

I'd bet that HP does. Start at "hp.com".

Not a router. Nothing to do with anything?

What did you use then? Did the R7000 replace something, or did you
add the R7000 to some existing arrangement, or what?

"it"? Printer? Chromebook? Other? How do you connect _any_ device
to your wireless network "without having to set it up"? Have you no
security at all?

Ok I had a TP-Link router before that printer was connected to. The Chromebook automatically connected to the old router. My iPhone and iPad Pro were set up and connected to the old router.
The HP Envy 4500 series was working just fine and don’t want to replace unless I can’t connect with Netgear router. I have downloaded the HP Smart app and no luck with that either.

Thanks for that detailed description. Is it gone now?

I don't know what "automatically connected" means to you.

Please consider answering the pending questions. Look for "?",
above.> [...] I have downloaded the HP Smart app and no luck with that either.
Did you do anything with it after you downloaded it? Regarding "no
luck", see "not a useful problem description [...]", above. Did you
find the manual for your printer there? Did you read it?If the R7000 has replaced some (unspecified) "a TP-Link router", then
did you configure its wireless security stuff (SSID(s), passphrase(s))
the same as with the previous router? Was the old router also
dual-band?Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Beyond the
basic set-up instructions, look for the LED descriptions and
"Troubleshoot"?
