Check what laptop you have. Dell's/sony's are pretty good at taking most cards. I've ran into issues with HP having a whitelist of what wireless adapter they'll accept.
It's a Dell Inspiron 15 5579 2-in-1. It's already out of warranty so no harm in cracking it open for upgrade purposes.
