Nighthawk x10 AD7200 Internet Going Online and Offline

Hello, I just recently got my wifi turned on at my new apartments. Everything seemed fine but after it was setup I set up my nighthawk router and everything seemed to work. That was until I went offline and never came back on. After multiple restarts, hard resets, and setting device up as new the same problem always occurs.
-> I get connected to the wifi
-> I am on the nighthawk router app and it says that my internet is online
-> then in about 30-60 seconds I get kicked back off to offline and it doesn’t come back on till a few minutes later

Can some one please tell me what the problem might be? And yes my router is running the latest firmware to date. I just want to know if it’s my cable modem or my routers fault for not being able to get a firm internet connection.
