Nighthawk x10 slow wifi but fast internet test

You didn't exactly give us much to go off. 

1. what actual firmware number are you on (the latest changes or might not be)

2. what modem/gateway is it connected to? 

3. what wired speeds do you get connected to the router? 

4. what 2.4ghz speeds do you get connected to the router? 

5. what 5ghz speeds do you get?         

  (the wireless speeds are key as 2.4ghz is a slow network but it broadcasts further and through more materials)

6. have you tried other devices? 

7. have you tried other servers on ookla? it doesn't always pick the best one

How slow is slow?

Wifi never matches wired.
