There are several "x4s" devices.
What are you trying to do?
I use the Netgear Nighthawk X4S AC2600 Smart Wifi Router Model: 7800, newest Firmware.
The Router worked well for the pur IPv4 login.
I put in the login credentials for a pppoe IPV6 login, get an IPv6 Address, but no IPv4 Adress entry for the DS-Lite.

In the configuration of your router, under Advanced -> Advanced Setup -> IPv6 do you have IPv6 enabled? When enabled, there is a drop down menu that sets the connection type. PPPoE is one of the options.
