Nighthawk x4s r7800 40Mhz Force Enab
help me in this as i am using the nighthawk x4s r7800 router it's not giving me an option to use it for 40Mhz Or 80Mhz and its Also capable of 160Mhz bt its not showing an option trying to change chan...
80 MHz width is on by default regardless which channel you use. If you want to force 160 MHz width, you need to use a DFS channel, usually between 52 and 140. As I mentioned, your wifi device needs to support 160 MHz width too or else it won't work

But in almost all cases, you want to keep it on 80 MHz. Clients will just connect at the maximum channel width they can. If that is 80 MHz, great. But if that is 20/40, clients will connect at 20/40 just fine in 5 GHz (using 802.11n).
I need to research this more, but I believe if you turn off 80 MHz mode, you are actually turning *off* 802.11ac support and turning the router into a 802.11n (dual band) router.
For 160, go to Advanced / Advanced Setup / Wireless Settings and check 'Enable HT160'. Not sure what happens after that, but that will get you started.
Yes i have turned on HT160 BUT NOT GETTING IT I HAVEN'T TURN OFF 80Mhz DON'T KNW STILL DIDN'T GETTING IT MY BOTH 5Ghz And 2.4 connecting on 20Mhz only tried several options like changing the channel which supports 40 or 80 Mhz but the channel option's is not showing which shows 40Mhz or 80Mhz the channel which is available showing only 20Mhz channel
