Nighthawk X4S R7800 firmware removed telnet access
I see that the option to enable Telnet in the debug page (192.168.1.3/debug.htm) has been removed in a recent firmware update to the R7800. The option is visible in V1.0.2.68 firmware, but not in the latest firmware.
Unfortunately, I need telnet to fix the R7800 bug that sends all URLs to routerlogin.net when in AP mode, which Netgear still hasn't fixed:

You can't via the official route.
To get telenet back via the offical route, you'd need to downgrade the firmware.
antinode had a program to enable telenet but I admit to knowing nothing about it or if it'd work in your case.

- Many thanks. I think I will stick with V1.0.2.68 of the firmware, as I've read many complaints about the newer firmware. But if I ever do upgrade, I will try that application to see if it works.
