NIghtHawk X6 AC3200 R8000 router download speed slow

My spectrum moden download speed is about 500mbps.  I hard wired to my nighthawk router no devices attached and speed is only between 200 - 280 mbps.....shouldn't it be close to spectrum modem speed...if so...any ideas what to check?

    what modem is it connected to?
    Check on the r8000 to ensure qos, access control, parental controls, and traffic monitoring are all disabled. If they were enabled, disable them and reboot. then test
