Nighthawk X6 R8000 - DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Since updating the firmware on my X6 R8000 I routinely get this error message.

 

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

 

Simply reloading the site works immediately.  It does not matter if I've visited the site before or not.  I had to reload this page twice to get past the error.  How can I safely revert to an older version of firmware that works better?  I don't have any of those files on my PC and I'm not clear where to get the older working version at.  Or, and preferably, is there a way to fix it correctly and get back to surfing without seeing DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN and having to reload all the time?

    There many posts and a long one about recent FW making this happen. If you have factory reset and setup from scratch after the FW update and tried troubleshooting steps, It would be best to revert back FW to what was working until NG gets this fixed.

    You can also try enabling IPv6. thats worked for some.
