NightHawk X6 R8000 Can't get 1gb speed
I have the NightHawk X6 r8000 router and I just upgraded to Xfinity's 1 gb service. I am only getting 300MBS+/- from the router but when I come directly from the Modem into my computer I get 950mbs +...
I found with my R8000 when I had it online last year, that if any of the Access Controls, Armor, Circle or Traffic Meter had been enabled, I would not see near 900Mpbs speeds. Doing a factory reset and setting up from scratch and not enabling any of these features got me near or just over 900Mpbs.

I really never had them enabled except for the traffic monitoring. I have reset the router multiple times and have checked all of the setting to make sure that the router is set to alow 1gb speeds. What do I do now since nothing seems to get the router setup to alow speeds more than 300mbs to get to the computers.
Thank you for answering so quickly. The Modem is an Arris SB8200 which I just bought. When I did the reset it was a clean install not from the backup. I use Ookla speed test as well as xfinity's speed test and both show about the same speed. I test the speed on both of my desktops and my laptop as well. The laptop is an I9, brand new, and I also have a brand new I7 desktop. The desktops are wired and the laptop is wireless. I have updated the drivers on the network controllers and wifi controller as well. Any Ideas?

Some thoughts. For throughput testing use the Ookla stand alone native application for your operating system. It is available from the Microsoft Store. Do not use a web address through a web browser for testing. It just adds another variable (the browser) you do not need.
For confirmation only on your computers, go to Windows settings, Network & Internet, and check to see if the network profile is classified as private and not public. Private is the correct classification. If need be, change the classification.
Have your performed a full network power down and sequential startup after your recent testing and changes?
If not, power down your modem and pull the power cord. Power down your router and pull the power cord. Power down your computers. Power up the modem and give it ample time to boot and stabilize. Power up the router and give it ample time to boot and stabilize. Power on the computers connected to your router with Ethernet cables and check the throughput with the Ookla application (not the web address).
