Nighthawk X6 R8000 firmware update
I'm having some connection and delayed issues loading pages on my macbook pro. Do you have to update the firmware annually in order for the nighthawk to run correctly? I'm assuming this is the issue....
Lets check a few things first before updating FW. New FW may not fix what your having problems with.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.
You'll need to factory reset the router and walk thru the setup wizard again and input your security questions correctly. Be sure to write this information down for safe keeping.
