Nighthawk X6 R8000 Issues connecting to Internet (BT Fiber 900)

Hi everyone,

I have just purchased the Nighthawk R8000 from ebay and I am having trouble getting it connected to the internet. I have set up the router and I can get into the Netgear admin/set up pages fine, however when in the router admin page it says I am not connected to the internet.

My ISP is BT in the UK. I have fiber to the property with BT FIber 900. I am plugging the ethernet cable that comes direct from the little box BT installed on the wall into the Nighthawk and having no luck. 

I have since tried using an ethernet cable from the BT supplied router into the nighthawk and still this is not working.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know how to fix this?
