Nighthawk x6 r8000 POE
Hi Can anyone tell me if the nighthawk x6 has POE compatibility I’m trying to add two ip security cameras but can’t seem to get them to work. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
No consumer grade that I know of. Need to get a switch that supports PoE. Not sure how much they cost. My Ubiqui Unifi swithes that do PoE cost over $100, but they are smart switches. Can be configured.
Simple answer is no, the r8000 does not provide PoE. Are the cameras Ethernet connected as that would be the only time PoE would be used?
Hi thanks for you reply, yes the cameras are connected over Ethernet. Are there any Netgear routers that have this capability or would I need to use a switch?
