Nighthawk X6 R8000 Will not talk to my LENOVO Yoga 2

My LENOVO YOGA 2 suddenly was unable to connect to my home wifi. It has worked fine for 1-1/2 years and now I get a "Cannot connect to this device" message and will not connect up.

  • Hi KWard,

How many devices are connected to the router?

Did you change the wireless settings of the router?

Try changing the network name of the router.

I no longer have the problem I was experiencing. However, I do not know what fixed it. I reset my Lenovo Yoga 2 back to factory settings and it did not seem to help. I went to bed in frustration and latter that night, according to my wife and son who were still up accessing the internet, the Netgear router rebooted itself. It came back online in just a few minutes and they continued on with whatever they were doing. The next morning I rechecked my Lenovo and it miraculously connected to wifi. I have checked it everyday since and it is still connecting with no problems. Like I said, I do not have an expanation but the problem seems to have been fixed.
