nighthawk x6 r8000
I have encountered overheating of my nighthawk x6 r8000, around 130 degrees F.
I was alerted to this because of a noise.
What's happening and how do i fix this?
Buy a good quality laptop fan then . I've had a Thermaltake brand for past several years and been running 24/7. I do need to vacuum it out as it's getting a bit dusty.

I bought a laptop fan but after a year the fan became noisy because they're not built to run continually. I don't want to have to replace the fan every year.

buy a cheap USB fan or a laptop cooler and let it blow at it

I keep on under any router I put online. Great additional cooling.
