Having trouble with the Nighthawk X6S router model R7960P. Had for a year and no issues. Now only get 2.4 network and not 5.0. Lights are all on the router. I did a factory reset today, but no ch...

The R7960P has smart connect that combines the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz so it only appears as a single ssid. Are you using that?

That was my first thought, but the manual doesn't mention smart connect. I checked. But it was certainly a feature of that generation of hardware.Maybe something added in a firmware update that didn't make it into the manual. Surprise surprise.
It is in the Data Sheet. Bonkers.
