Plug the 2nd router (R7900P) in using its wan port and set it up in access point mode. That leaves the xfinity device managing dhcp/nat and should fix your issue. You might have to ensure the devices on the netgear have their windows setting to private and not public so they can discover the printer

Thank you, that sounds easy enough. However, I do not see a "WAN" port. There are four ethernet ports, two of which, 1 and 2, are designated "AGGREGATE," and an Internet port, which is where the line to the Comcast modem is connected.

Disregard the last reply. I understand the port labeled as INTERNET is, in fact, the WAN port. Sorry, it was a temporary brain fault.

Will the Netgear match the identical SSID as the Comcast modem/router?

yes and no.
Here's why I say that.
You can manually set them with the same ssid. But they won't roam the same as a mesh system will because they don't integrate like a mesh with smart roaming enabled.
So would I set them the same? No.
I'd set them with separate ssids and make sure they use different wifi channels to prevent interference.
