Nighthawk X6S R7960P From Costco

My router is an X6S R7960P purchased from Costco ans currently up to date with the latest firmware.

I have 2 Fire sticks that I assigned a reserved IP, then I decided to swap the locations of the FS, and renamed them on the Amazon website, but I guess once doing that they were assigned new IP's when I moved them around.

So when I went into the router admin section to delete the 2 assigned devices and re add them to be assigned to the new IP addresses, I keep getting an error MAC ID incorrect.

Any suggestions how to resolve this ??

Don

I have no idea what a A65 is. do you have an actual model number?

    (ac3600 is a speed)

Why are you setting them with a static ip address?

You went in and deleted their address in the router?

Sorry, it was the info showed when I logged in

      It's a Nighthawk X6X (R7960P)

The reason for assigning an IP, is i often got conflicting IP's addresses in the past, so I have since reserved and assigned IP addresses to devices I use often and have to login into at time to transfer files.

And yes, I went to my assigned IP section and simply deleted the 2 FS that were assigned, and then tried to reassign them with the current IP's and same MAC which didn't change

If it's not required, then I'll leave it as is.

If a Mod can edit the first post title and body of post it would be greatly appreciated, it doesn't allow me to do so.
