The red light on this router won’t go out. I have changed cables, unplugged, reset, turned everything off then on. Ran troubleshooting in netgear app, said the router was working, its not. No matter ...

you may want to try mac cloning see if that will get the router working with the modem.

_Which_ "The red light" is it? "red" or amber? Visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for "LED".

- BrooklynblDec 15, 2018AspirantDid all that no info. Again it’s the internet icon on the nighthawk not blinking remains red. Connected modem direct to pc internet works fine. Connect with router red internet icon remains red. No info anywhere on this icon remains red.

Guess nobody really reads these questions. Big red clue. RED LIGHT at INTERNET ICON on nighthawk won’t go out.
all these solutions are for a working product. Took it into Best Buy had it tested, red light constant on internet icon means it’s DEAD, done deal. No fix around.
