Nighthawk X8 extender
Hello. I purchased a nighthawk x8 extender and it won’t set up in the app. It doesn’t connect no matter what I do. I have reset it. Done everything. Any advice?

Thank you for your help. I am away from
It now so I can’t write the model number. I am trying to connect it to a zXytel modem from Consolidated wifi. When I try to set up the extender in the nighthawk app. It says that it can’t find the extender and cannot connect to the extender wifi. I have registered the product. I tried connecting it wps as well. Pressing the wps button it it and then in the modem until it stops flashing. Am I doing something wrong?
I then unplugged it and took it away to an area closer to where it needs to boost and still no reception. And the extender wifi network never shows up

A little bit of a key in what model it is.
Reason I say that is some of the models are mesh extenders. So if you set them up using wps, they setup using the same ssid as the router.
They don't show up with a seperated ssid when setup using wps or the default configuration. You'd have to log into the router to see if its connected and whats its IP address is. You could use the IP address to access/manage it.
So find out the model.
You can also try logging into your router and checking under its attached devices page (or equivelent) to see if its connected.
What are the led's on the extender showing (each, color, blinking, etc)
