Nighthawk X8 R8500 Rattle - How to Open Box
My router is working fine, but when I picked it up and moved it I noticed a rattle. I think something small may have fallen into the box. I found 2 obvious hex screws on the bottom, but I'm sure I m...
There are more screws on the feet.
Remove the rubber feet in each corner and you'll see more screws.

I already looked there. I found a video for the x6, but it's a different box and doesn't apply.

Thanks, that did the trick! It turned out to be a little piece of black plastic that had broken off something.
For anyone trying to accomplish this, you can pry off the rubber feet with a screwdriver. If you're careful, you can just pry up half and bend it back enough to remove the screw without taking the pad off completely, making it a little easier to just stick back on.
