I have the Nighthawk R7000 and have noticed this issue with my 5G connections only for the past month or so. I manually updated to firmware version V1.0.11.116_10.2.100. Still having issues. Seems ridiculous to have to go backwards in firmware versions to solve router connection problems. Especially having bought this thing to replace the rental from the internet provider. You had ONE job Netgear! Hoping they will figure out their firmware issue as my research points to that being the likely issue.
The R7000 isn't the same router as the r7800. If you'd like to start your thread instead of jumping on a different one, we're happy to help out.
