Nighthawk(R) X4S R7800 5g Wifi keeps disconnecting
Hello, My Nighthawk(R) X4S R7800 is disconnecting 5g wifi on all devices (2.4 works without an issue) all the time and its getting very annoying. My firmware version is V1.0.2.80. Its happening ...
It worked - kind of. 5G Network is no longer vanishing, only stops working. My laptop and all devices are connected to it but there is no networking, local and internet networks are inacessible. Everything works fine on 2.4. I'm thinking of downloading even older firmware and try as this router worked superb for past few years.

You can try older versions but that specific one was pretty stable. Did you do a factory reset and then clean install after the firmware change (by clean i mean not reinstalling from a backup configuration)?
It might be a hardware failure. How old is the device?
