No connection

I got a new Modem from my service provider because my old Modem was running at about 56kb download. The new Modem worked for a couple of days, up to 30Mg and now nothing. I've tried all the obvious fixes, turned it off, turned it off and unpluged it, hit reset etc. When it powers back up I get a full spread of green light, 5 ports, up/down arrows and 2.4 & 5 Ghz. These quickly get replaced by just amber up/down arrows and the 2.4 & 5 Ghz lights and then they go out.

Can it be revived by maybe plugging it into my iMac via an ethernet cable and downloading the latest update or is the box dead.

4 years old and maybe it's planned obsolesents.

HELP please.

What is that new modem? Who made it?

The  EX7000 in your footer is, as its says, a WiFi Range Extender. Nothing to do with modems, or even the Nighthawk WiFi Routers covered in this section.
