No Ethernet light
My CM700 cable modem has no Ethernet light when powered up. I have it connected to an Amplifi Gamers edition wireless mesh system. Had a power surge that fried my tv and router, assumed the modem was ok. Just got a replacement router today and plugged it in. But now the Ethernet light is not on.

If you connect a pc/laptop to it does it work?
have you tried different lan cables?
I have not tried plugging it directly into a laptop or other device yet. I have tried multiple etherent cables including the brand new cable that came with the router.
I will try that later today. I may just purchase a new modem. I have been without internet long enough.
It might be time for a new modem as storms are great at wrecking electronics.
But its always worth a shot with the direct connection
