No internet when connecting cable modem CM500 with router AC1000
I've rented a cable modem Panoramic from Cox. Now I've just bought modem CM500 and router AC1000. When I connect Cox modem to wifi router AC1000, I could receive internet signal from the wifi rout...
Try this.
Disconnect everything from the modem and the router and power them both off. (even coax from modem)
Wait 2 minutes (could be up to 30 minutes i've heard on cox).
Then connect the coax back to the modem and power it on.
Wait 2 minutes to fully boot.
Connect the lan port on the modem to the wan port on the router with a new ethernet cable.
Power the router on and wait 2 minutes for it to fully boot.
Attempt setup on it.
A couple things.
1. AC1000 is a speed, not a model.
2. did your isp provision your new modem?
3. Can the ISP "see" the new modem on their network?
