One Computer gets kicked off network
Nighthawk works great on my computer which is connected to it but my husband whose computer is upstairs gets kicked off the network frequently when he is on our wireless network. Any suggestions?
It seems to be working better since firmware update with channel changes. I will keep your suggestion in mind if it hasn't gone away. Thanks to all for their help.

Is there any pattern to this?
Have you tried tweaking the wifi channels?
If you live in a congested area – with lots of neighbours – there could be interference between channels.
Then there is the distance between him upstairs and the modem. Wifi doesn't stretch to infinity.
If he has a choice, tell him to try the 2.4GHz channel. That is slower than 5GHz but it has longer reach.

I updated the firmware and tweaked the wifi channels which seems to help. If needed he will try the 2.4 GHz channel.
Thank you for your reply.

I bet he won't notice the difference.
But you might like to consider other options that would reduce the issue.
What is he using upstairs? Laptop? Tablet?
If it has a LAN socket then Powerline would give a wired connection and could beat the heck out of wifi at any speed.
