One Wired Connection Creates Internet Solid Amber Light
I have a R6700v2 that is driving me up the wall. This morning, I received a solid amber internet light after 13 months of no issues (conveniently 1 month ouside of the warranty window). I found that ...

And you blame the router, not the (unspecified) "a switch" plus the
"7-8 devices" for this problem?

"every single port" of _what_? The router? See "And you blame
[...]", above.
If connecting your device-laden (unspecified) "a switch" to the
router causes the problem, then I'd start disconnecting devices from the
switch (followed by the switch itself) to see which of those devices is
disrupting the router's operation.

Could be a cable between router and switch went bad? Either that or one of the devices/cables on the switch? Did you change anything on the switch or even move it? I assume the switch is powered.

Disconnected all the devices from the switch and reconnected one at a time.
Interestingly, when I finished reconnecting, the intenet light on the router stayed white.
Appears to have automatically resolved itself.
Thanks for the tips.

Hmmm. Always less satisfying than identifying a cause, but could be
worse.
I could guess at a few possibilities, but I wouldn't bet much on any
of them. You might want to stage some artificial power interruptions to
see if you can reproduce the problem. Or, just wait...
