OOTB Device name part of SSID broadcast affter reset
I changed the name of my NETGEAR device, and changed the broadcast name for the SSID. The name "NETGEARxx" is no longer displayed anywhere in the Genie app.
Now, when I connect my Wi-Fi adapter and then look at Network Connections (on Windows 10), I see the original, out-of-the-box name for the device. Where did it come from, and how do I change the name so that NETGEARxx is not displayed on other devices?

And that device is?

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Look for the model number on the label on the device. > [...] Network Connections (on Windows 10), [...]
That's a Windows question, not a "NETGEAR [unspecified] device"
question.> [...] Where did it come from, [...]
Presumably from an initial/default SSID on your (unspecified)
"NETGEAR device", before you "changed the name of [your] NETGEAR
device".> [...] how do I change the name so that NETGEARxx is not displayed on

nothing, but I'd probably try to delete that existing Network
Connection, and create a new one for this (unspecified) "NETGEAR
device", specifying its new SSID.
