Optimal location for Nighthawk AC1900 - R6900
Hello I'm looking for the optimal location (height) for my Nighthawk AC1900 - R6900 router. I am in a 1 floor ranch style house that is approximately 2100sq ft. Thanks for commenting Cad-je...
Optimal? Centrally locate it in the home.
The router broadcasts omnidirectional so basically in a sphere.
Then for height, just look around at what you have setup. I usually prefer to be around that 3-4 ft above ground so it avoids a lot of the metal devices/obstructions within walls/cabinets but sometimes you don't have much options.
And even sometimes, it works better in other areas because of obstructions in walls. So I'd try a couple different spots in the home to see what works best.
