Password recovery forgot answers to admin questions

I have an R8000 Nighthawk router that I had to reset because it would not accept the password and when I attempted to reset it I don't remember the answer to one of the questions. After resetting the router I was able to login with the default password. I then reloaded a saved configuration file to restore my settings.  Now again it will not accept the password because I guess it put back the old settings.  Any ideas?

    Nothing short of performing the firmware default reset again and configuring your R8000 from scratch.  Do not import your previous configuration.
