Password Reset

I got two notification on my laptop that I have been hacked. So I reset my Netgear password.  I went into my Network and Sharing Center to see if my "Network  Securitty Key" has changed, but it was not. The same old security key remains. Shouldn't it have changed since I updated the router with a new passord?  Where could I go in my laptop to see the new my new passord?

    Do you mean the wifi SSID name password to access the wifi? Or the admin log in password for the routers managment page? 

    What product are you referring too?

    For future reference, there are so many things that such warnings can mean that it is a good idea to dig deeper before messing around with your equipment.

     

    A laptop isn't likely to warn about the password on your wifi. But without more detail who knows?
