Password
Is the password I used to enter this network the same one I can give out for others to use my wifi? I don't have any way to test it today and I don't want to get into the protocol setting up my new hi-tech thermostat and be stopped halfway through for not being able to connect it to my wifi?

The Password you have set for the wifi SSID name is the same one used so users and there device or a wireless device can access and connect to the router.
There a NG router model your using?

What is "this network"?
Your wifi? The Internet? Your browser graphical user interface (GUI)?
