Permission Controls
I've discovered that I am unable to access sites associated with dating or gambling (.gov site about the state lottery). I've been told it is likely to do with the Netgear settings. I'm not very computer savvy so I'm feeling a bit lost. I've tried downloading the Netgear app on my phone to try to access parental controls, but I'm not finding anything obvious that allows me to change site access permissions. Step-by-step help would be much appreciated. :)

Netgear has withdrawn free "parental controls".

It now wants to sell you a subscription to a more powerful parental control service.
Sadly, cable modem/routers don's seem to qualify for these features., possibly because they depend on firmware changes, and your ISP will not allow Netgear or anyone else to mess with that.
