Please help!!! --- Can I connect 2 routers (2 SSID) directly from Internet Modem (Netgear CM1150V)
Hello - I have Netgear CM1150 Internet Modem that has 4 active (yellow) ports. And I have Nightgear R7000 Router. I was thinking to add one more router (Netgear N300) and create a separate network...

That's normal for residential service.

Sure, but you can connect only one device to your ISP, who will give
you only one external/public IP address.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for the
description of "Ethernet ports 1-4", and the following:
Note Your cable modem comes with plugs that cover Ethernet ports
2, 3 and 4. For more information about Ethernet ports 2, 3,
and 4, visit netgear.com/support/product/CM1150V.
(I wouldn't expect to learn more if you follow that link.)

"N300" is a speed, not a model number. Look for "Model" on the
product label.
What, exactly, does "a separate network" mean to you?
You should be able to configure your (unspecified) "Netgear N300"
router (whatever it is) as a wireless access point, and connect it to
your R7000 router. That would extend your wireless-network coverage,
but it wouldn't give you what I'd call "a separate network".
How easy that would be would depend on the (actual) model involved.

3. more questions:
1. So looks like my N300 router can be used as an extenter to boost the wifi coverage. but this needs to be connected to the main R7000 Nighthawk. My question is - once I configure it as an extender, can this be used just like a ethernet switch? for example, can I use one of my PC directly hardwired into this N300 router?
2. Can I add a 3rd Router to connect to this N300/2nd ROuter to use it as an 2nd Extender?
3. I have a fairly big house (5k sq ft) and roughly 40 smart devices working all times (6 Echo devices and 15 smart switch/lights) and all of them were working just fine...... just since last 3/4 weeks, I have been noticing wifi signal drops from my R7000 suddenly and then after 4/5 minutes it comes back normal. I called xfinity and they said that they can see the signal as powerful. But I do i know if signal issue is at the modem or router? .... here is the snippet of the cable connection page form my modem .... but I ma not technically expert to understand what these mean or by which information here I can tell or prove that the comcast signal has some issues?
