Power Surge with NIghthawk AC2300 model: R7000P
Power surge yesterday. Netgear router turns ons, but does not produce wifi connection (i.e. no SSID showing up on devices). Connected to cable modem. Everything else works fine - I hooked up a...
Try a different power adapter with same volts and amps.
Factory reset the router by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds then release and setup from scratch.

1) I tried a different power adpapter - did not resolve the problem
2) I did factory reset, but I cannot even get into the router setup any longer via a browser (http://www.routerlogin.net)
Does 192.168.1.1 work to access the routers web page?
If not and the recover mode mentioned by plemans doesn't work, I would presume the router is busted. :smileysad:
Thanks Plemans and FURRYe38 for your help. I tried connecting via 192.168.1.1 and it just times out (again, I can connnect that way to my 10 year old Netgear router - which I using temporariliy now)
I guess I need to buy a new one (and a new surge protector). I looked at reviews and the model I'm having issues with still seems to be very highly rated, so I might end up re-buying somehting similiar (the AC2400)
