Problem with wn3000rp extender

I am often unable to access the internet while using a device near an extender.  my device says "connected, no internet."  I did not have this problem before installing a second extender in my home.  Is that the reason for my problem?  What's going on?  How fix?

    You have a 2nd extender?

    What model?

    Did you set them up using wps or using the installation wizard?

    what router are they connected to?

    did you set them up in a star configuration or daisy chained?

    Daisy: router----->extender1------->extender2

    star: Extender1<---------router-------->extender2

      yes, i have two extenders - one upstairs in my house and the second in a nearby adjacent structure.  first installed in 2014 and the second several months ago...and that's when the problem started.  #2 is n300 model ex2700.  i do not recall how i did install. the router is a ubee unit (supplied by spectrum.) i do not remember configuration either.  (i do not have any technical expertise.)

        I would start with reinstalling both extenders.

        Set them up using the installation assistant and not using wps.

        first setup one, then power it off, and install the other.

        Give each device their own SSID so they're not connecting ot each other and not the router.

        that's how I'd start.
