Provisioning
I was told by my isp that my router needed to be provisioned to handel fiber internet. My old setup was a nighthawk ac1900dst. I have never had a modem either. The only way I have been able to use my r8000p is to turn off the wifi on my ac1900dst and use an ethernet port on the back and connect it to the internet port 9n my r8000p. My r8000p has never accepted the internet line my house. Dose any know how I cam remove the ac1900dst completely. Thanks so much. Sorry if it doesn't make any sense.

ac1900dst is not a model #. What model under is seen on the sticker under the ac1900dst.
Is this a DSL or cable modem?
The R8000 router needs a ethernet feed from a cable, DSL modem or ONT to correct work as a wifi router with internet services.
You may need to contact your ISP see see what they require you to have. ISP interfacing devices is need for the NG router to work right.
Review the installation guide and user manual for the R8000 router on how to install and set it up.

So the R7300 is just another router.
Is there a ISP modem or ONT device that connects to the R7300?
