Yes and I tried to setup just r8000p the same way I had r7300 when I first brought home my r8000p but it showed no internet available

What is your ISP? An ISP will always place at minimum a modem to get internet access and the router you use to let local devices be able to communicate with the internet. Can you please take some pictures from where the fiber optic cable enters your house/appartment? The next step is configuring your internet connection in the router together with the username and password that you received from your ISP.
