R 7000 as access point an using the integrated switch

I use the first R 7000 as router and the second R 7000 as Access Point. Can I altough need the integrated switch from the Access Point an is this switch automaticly connectet with the same netzwork?

  • You can use all ports on the R7000 in AP mode. They are in the same network. If your AP is correctly configured the devices on the AP ports, should receive an valid IP address / gateway from the Base R7000 (DHCP Server). You could even hang a switch off one of thos ports, if you wanted to.. Ensure you are running at least CAT5e Ethernet cable between the R7000 AP and R7000 Base Station to connect both devices.
