R6120 Ac1200 router
My internet service (Monkey Brains) had me buy a router and when I ran the wizard, it temporarily started internet and then stopped. Any suggestions?

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read. Look for
"Troubleshooting".If you still have problems, then you might return here with some kind
of description of your equipment other than the R6120 (Modem?
Computer? ...?), and some kind of symptom description more detailed
than "stopped". As usual, showing actual actions with their actual
results (error messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than
vague descriptions or interpretations.My car stopped. What do you think that the problem is?
You are correct and I have trouble-shot until my eyes are bloodshot. So, here is a more descriptive idea of the problem. I have plugged everything in properly and followed all of the instructions as well as I can. I ran the wizard and all 4 LED lights went green, indicating that all was well, until at the end of the wizard when it began running a firmware update and the internet light turned red again. I do not have a modem and was told that I could plug the router into the wall and it would work just fine, yet I can't get it to work and even went out and bought another router, a C3700 that I now realize I can't even use for this purpose, because I don't have cable TV. I really don't know what else to say, but I am at a great loss for where to go next.

Not a useful description of anything. Cables get plugged into
things. A cable has two ends. I don't know what your "everything" is,
and I have no reason to believe that you know what "properly" is. It's

Did the firmware update fail? Try to bear in mind that the non-psychics
in your audience can't see what you see, what you do, or what happens
when you do it. If you can't describe these things, then you may need

modem+router is not what you need.
